We hosted a visit by students and faculty members from Korea University and Daedong University in South Korea.

On December 23, 2025, we welcomed a delegation of 13 visitors from Korea University and Daedong University. We first toured Mejirodai,
visiting the GNRC Open Lab and the office of the University of Tokyo Nursing Station Mejirodai.
We provided detailed explanations of Japan’s home-visit nursing services and self-funded service models, followed by discussions on operational policies and on-site challenges.
Next, Professor Yamamoto delivered a lecture on Japan’s medical and long-term care insurance system, which was followed by an active discussion.
The exchange focused on preparations for Korea’s upcoming legislation on community-based integrated care, scheduled to be implemented next year.
This visit offered a valuable opportunity to share the background and challenges of Japan’s current system and provided many insights for considering the future of medical and long-term care in Korea and Japan.
