On June 8^th,2022, we held the fourth lecture of the “Nursing Lectures Series: From Experts to Novices.” The online lecture entitled “Fostering Research through Mentorship” was given by Prof. Eileen G. Collins, the Dean of the College of Nursing, University of Illinois Chicago, USA. Professor Collins showed the importance of mentorship in nursing and characteristics of good mentors and good mentees and explained how novices can find and select their mentors. Prof. Collins shared her experience as a mentor and highlighted strategies to solve conflicts that might rise during the mentorship process. About 150 participants attended the lecture.
