It was established 16 years ago with the purpose of encouraging the good tradition of Japan. The pioneer category, which was awarded to Director Sanada, is given to those who address illness in medical care, long-term care, related industries, or society itself in order to realize a healthy society in Japan, which faces major social changes including the aging of the population. And those who are creating new value through innovative, unprecedented efforts, such as efforts to maintain physical and mental health so that they are less likely to get sick, and dramatic progress in the field of elderly care.
