International Summer Program for Skin Integrity　2018 was held in Ito International Research Center Hall in the University of Tokyo, co-sponsored by Japanese Society of Would, Ostomy & Continence Management. The aim of this program was threefold: first, to broaden the global perspective our the young researchers; second, to share the findings and knowledge of the most advanced research; and third, to promote the internationalization of certified wound, ostomy, and continence nurses who lead wound care in Japan. We were joined by 54 colleagues from 13 countries around the world: Australia, China, Denmark, France, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, the UK, Vietnam, and Japan. Many stimulating lectures and informative reports were given on many different areas including pressure ulcer and chronic edema. Young researchers from Japan and abroad eagerly participated in presentations and discussions. The program gave them great opportunity to share their interest and learning.
